Guitar legend, Bernie Tormé, will be playing Fac 251 – The Factory on 5th April to coincide with the release of his brand new triple album: ‘Dublin Cowboy’.
Guitar legend, blues rock psychedelic shredmeister, glam punk sleaze rock frontman: Bernie Tormé has enjoyed a long and remarkable career. Hit records, world tours and international acclaim came as lead guitarist in Gillan. While a member of Gillan, Bernie wrote and played on four top ten albums and many hit singles, including Gillan’s biggest selling singles, ‘New Orleans’ and ‘Trouble’. Bernie then stepped in for Ozzy Osbourne in the aftermath of guitar legend Randy Rhoads’ tragic death before going on to front his own band. His incendiary playing and high octane rock always make for a spectacular show.
The triple-disc ‘Dublin Cowboy’ was made following a phenomenally successful pledge-fund appeal that hit its pledge target in less than nine hours. ‘Dublin Cowboy’ is officially released on April 7th. Comprising an electric, an acoustic and a live disc, fan reaction from pledge-funders who have enjoyed early access to the downloads has already been overwhelmingly positive.
Says Bernie: “I always wanted to do a triple album and also an acoustic album, and combining the two seemed like the obvious idea though truth is it nearly killed me: I’m still in recovery! But on top of all that, and with two albums of screaming wails and dive-bombs, I am totally knocked out with how the shred-free acoustic album has been received! Fans who pledged and have heard it absolutely LOVE it!”
Bernie is now looking forward to performing songs from the new album, as well as some old favourites: “Got a bunch of rock ‘n’ roll pint-spillers from the new Dublin Cowboy album that we will be rocking out live on the tour! I can’t wait, get ready people, this one will be total killer!”
